Description Sunrize Green Lentils - These flat, large lentils have a strong earthy flavour and hold their shape well. Green Lentils have 4 times more fibre than rice, pasta or potatoes and are high in protein, B Vitamins, selenium and folic acid.

Usage Soups, stews and curries etc. To Cook: NO soaking required - remember Red Lentils will cook to a puree and can be used as a thickener. Brown, puy and green lentils will remain whole. Rinse and place in a saucepan with clean cold water covering by 3cm. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 mins. Continue with your recipe.

On the Label Full of essential nutrients, green lentils are delicious. They are also known as continental lentils and are the basis for many French and Italian stews and casseroles. They also make a great side dish when simply cooked and dressed with lemon juice, olive oil and garlic. Directions for use: Wash lentils thoroughly before use, then place in a large pan with plenty of water and cook for approx 30mins or until soft. At this point, they can be frozen in batches with some of the cooking water, or used straight away.
