Description Sunrize Onion Seeds - a distinctive flavour that's nutty and earthy. The seeds are taken from the Nigella flower.
The Sunrize Fact-ory Nigella seeds are known to repel certain insects and can be used like mothballs.
Usage Mostly used in Indian cuisine, vegetable and dall dishes, chutneys and pickles and sprinkled on naan bread before baking.
Storage Requirements Store in a cool dry place and once opened keep in an airtight container for no more than 6 months.
On the Label Also known as Nigella Seeds and Kalonji, Onion seeds are used in many Indian and Asian dishes. They can be fried at the beginning of a dish along with mustard seeds and other whole spices to make a wonderful fragrant base to a curry. They are perhaps more commonly seen on (or in) Naan bread.
