Description Sunrize Quinoa - 500g - (Pronounced Keen - wah) This grain was known as the mother grain by the Inca's and revered as sacred. It is recognised as a supercrop and the quality of protein is at least equivalent to that of milk. It offers more iron than other grains and contains high levels of Potassium, Riboflavin, B Vitamins and it boasts a full compliment of all 8 essential amino acids which are vital for tissue construction in Humans. It is a great substitute for grains because of its cooking characteristics and can be used instead of rice in most recipes.

Usage Soups, casseroles, stews, Stir Fries, salads To Cook: Must be rinsed thoroughly until the water runs clear - drain well. I part Quinoa to 2 parts water.(or fruit juice when using for desserts or breakfast) Bring to the boil and simmer for 10/15 minutes with the lid on , until the grains have become transparent and the spiral germ has separarted. Bear in mind that Quinoa increases 3 or 4 times in volume during cooking. Remove from the heat and leave covered until all liquid is absorbed. Serve hot or cold.

Storage Requirements Store in a cool dry place and once opened keep in an airtight container.
