Description Sunrize Red Split Lentils - these have a delicious flavour, texture and aroma and provide a major source of protein. Also contain complex carbohydrates and good amounts of thiamin, vitamin B6, iron, zinc and potassium. Particularly rich in folate, an essential B vitamin, low in fat and good for a healthy heart.

Usage Ideal as a thickener for soups, stews etc. To Cook: NO soaking required - remember Red Lentils will cook to a puree and can be used as a thickener. Brown, puy and green lentils will remain whole. Rinse and place in a saucepan with clean cold water covering by 3cm. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 mins. Continue with your recipe.
