Description Sunrize Sage - sweet, strong flavour and part of the mint family.
The Sunrize Fact-ory The Romans considered sage to be a sacred herb and built an elaborate ceremony to pick it. A sage gatherer would have to use a non iron knife (as it reacts with the sage), have clean clothes and feet and a sacrifice of food would have to be made before the collection.
Usage Meat, poultry, vegetables, stuffings, sausages, dressings, cheese dishes, beans, apples, stews, soups, teas.
Storage Requirements Store in a cool dry place and once opened keep in an airtight container for no more than 6 months.
On the Label An extremely flavoursome and aromatic herb with a distinctive taste. Great with poultry, it has traditionally been used for stuffings and sausages, but is also great in soups and many Italian dishes.
