Description Sunrize Tapioca - Tapioca is a starch produced by the cassava plant. This starch is formed into tiny balls called "pearls" that are used in cooking various foods.
The Sunrize Fact-ory Bubble tea is a tea with tapioca balls mixed in. In actuality, the name "bubble tea" refers to the process by which the drink is made. In fact, the Taiwanese name for bubble tea translates to "pearl milk tea". When tea is shaken a thin layer of bubbles (Tapioca) form on the surface.
Usage Tapioca pudding uses the tiny, starchy tapioca pearls as a thickener. Combined with milk, cream or eggs, tapioca makes a luscious old-fashioned dessert. The pearls partially dissolve, but leave tiny bubbles giving the cooked tapioca a unique bubbly texture.

On the Label Tapioca comes from the cassava root and is not a ‘seed’ but processed pieces of the dried root. It makes a delicious milky pudding which is similar to rice pudding. Directions for use: Place 100g tapioca, 600ml milk, 2 tablespoons sugar and the seeds from one vanilla pod into a pan, slowly bring to a simmer stirring continuously. After 5 minutes, transfer to the oven in a greased oven proof dish and bake for approx 1 hour or until the tapioca is soft. As a change from this classic recipe, try adding some dried fruit! Gorgeous!
