In the middle ages married soldiers were sent off to war with a loaf of cumin bread baked by their wives as a sign of love and fidelity.
Usage
Good in curries, Mexican dishes, Oriental foods and is also good in lamb, cheese, egg and rice dishes.
Storage Requirements
Store in a cool dry place and once opened keep in an airtight container for no more than 6 months.

Cumin has a very strong fragrant flavour which is very commonly used in Indian and in particular, North African cuisine where it is the predominant flavour found in Tagines and many authentic keebabs. Try adding to home made burgers for an extra aromatic flavour!
